Amazon.com Inc, a leading e-commerce firm, has partnered with WeWork Inc, a provider of flexible co-working space, to expand office space in London’s City. Amazon will occupy WeWork’s recently refurbished Moore Place building, totalling 70,000 square feet, with potential for more accommodation as part of the agreement.
The new expansion comes after Amazon shelved plans for a London expansion due to the pandemic. The new building is in addition to their London footprint that includes the High Holborn and Principal Place buildings.
Amazon has previously indicated its commitment to office-based work as opposed to fully remote work.
