Retail software provider, Celerant Technology, recently concluded its 19th annual client conference in Marietta, GA. The focus of the conference was to guide clients through adapting to digital strategies, aiming to achieve a complete digital presence and expand businesses across all retail channels in today’s digital age.
Celerant Technology’s CEO and President, Ian Goldman, opened the conference with the ‘Welcome Address,’ urging retailers to embrace going digital to succeed in today’s retail market. Over the three-day conference, clients were invited to attend the ‘Retailer Boot Camp’ and participated in more than 25 breakout sessions, interactive workshops and one-on-one meetings. The sessions revolved around eCommerce, search engine optimization, mobile shopping apps, digital marketing, and BOPIS. Additionally, Celerant introduced an array of sessions focused on in-store operations, such as mobile inventory, vendor integrations, back-office accounting, industry-specific sessions for sporting goods and Goodwill Industries International retailers, plus more.
Ian Goldman expressed his satisfaction with the conference, stating that about 75% of the attendees in 2023 were using the eCommerce platform, up from 50% in the previous year. Furthermore, he said that this number is expected to rise, as the company introduced strategies that position retailers to meet the needs of their customers, regardless of channel connections.
The event featured keynote speakers Bob Negen from WhizBang! Retail Training, Paul Erickson from Management One, and Amazon, who educated the conference attendees on the new Amazon Today program. Additionally, Celerant’s retail clients had opportunities to interact face-to-face with partners such as Avalara, Shift4, Fortis, Worldpay from FIS, Star Micronics, SPS Commerce, Sezzle, Otter Waiver, among others, to learn about their software solutions.
Client feedback showed that the team members and partners of Celerant were the most valuable parts of the conference, as stated by a representative from Book-A-Million Inc. The Goodwill sessions provided many takeaways to help clients improve their operations, according to Goodwill Central Oklahoma, while Eco Chic Consignments said that they gained valuable knowledge from the instructors in all the sessions. Treats Unleashed was impressed with the breakout sessions with the tech team and found them to be “informative and great ways to meet in-person.”
