Nickeisha Cuthbert has been named a recipient of the STEM Scholarship by the SBB Research Group Foundation.
CHICAGO, Sept. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The SBB Research Group Foundation has awarded Nickeisha Cuthbert with their STEM scholarship. This $2,500 scholarship is designed to encourage students to pursue higher education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines and contribute to society.
Nickeisha Cuthbert is a senior studying Biotechnology at Clafin University. She recently took part in the summer undergraduate research program at the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, where she conducted research on pathological biomarkers and the effects of an enzyme on muscle and glucose activity. She also received a grant from the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities organization to support her research on antibiotics produced by bacteria.
