Elecosoft, a global provider of software and services for the built environment, has announced the appointment of Mark Chapman as Head of Innovation. With nearly 30 years of experience in the international construction sector, Chapman brings a wealth of expertise to the newly created position.
Throughout his career, Chapman has focused on using best practices and emerging technologies to deliver sustainable business benefits to project stakeholders. Over the last five years, he has pioneered new workflows aimed at modernizing traditional business processes, working with contractors, established technology companies, and startups.
Before joining Elecosoft, Chapman served as Planning Lead for The CIMIC Group, a leading engineering, infrastructure development, services, and mining company. During his tenure, he worked across the group’s six companies, developing streamlined processes and procedures that delivered up to 30% time optimization during project phases, reducing exposure to risk and enhancing profitability. Additionally, he assisted in identifying and developing business improvement opportunities for CIMIC.

As Head of Innovation, Chapman will lead efforts in five main areas of product innovation, encompassing product growth, vision, design, alignment and analytics and metrics.

Chapman holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Design & Management from the University of Wales.
