Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) is expressing its gratitude for the recent passing of a new law in New York that mandates teacher training on food allergies. This victory comes after 12 years of advocacy efforts by FARE, various food allergy advocates, and the collaboration of Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal (D/WF-Manhattan) and State Senator Cordell Cleare (D-30). The new law aims to improve the safety and well-being of the 218,000 schoolchildren in New York who have food allergies.
