GreenTrees’ co-founder and managing partner, Chandler Van Voorhis, is set to participate in the Society of American Foresters’ webinar themed “U.S. Carbon Offset: Suppliers, Traders and Buyers”. Van Voorhis will join other experts in carbon markets to discuss the use of forestry for carbon offsetting and share valuable insight on launching nature-based carbon offset initiatives. Attendees of the webinar will gain knowledge on how the forest carbon offset process works in the United States, creating and trading carbon credits, and the international carbon market and carbon financing.
Who is Chandler Van Voorhis?
Chandler Van Voorhis is the co-founder and managing partner at GreenTrees. Under Van Voorhis’ leadership, GreenTrees has planted over 130,000 acres of trees generating carbon offset credits that are equivalent to removing over six million metric tons of carbon from the atmosphere. With almost 30 years of experience in the industry, Van Voorhis is an expert in conservation and ecological markets. He has made appearances as a guest lecturer at Princeton and Yale, hosted a TEDx Talk and has authored several publications on the emergence of natural capital. Before starting GreenTrees, Van Voorhis was the co-host of GreenWave Radio, a well-received syndicated radio talk show focused on the business and the environment.
