Mr. Williams is a supply chain expert who became a business owner as the co-founder of Delta Dirt Distillery in 2017. It is also known for using sweet potatoes as its primary source of vegetables in its production. The company’s Sweet Blend Vodka, made from distilled sweet potatoes and corn, has won several awards in U.S. and international competitions for its extraordinary taste.
Mr. Williams built his distillery business on the foundation laid by his grandfather and great-grandfather, who were both sharecroppers. Mr. Williams began his career in the food processing industry as a manager of operations and engineering at Cargill Meat Solutions in Springdale, Arkansas, in 1992. He then spent two decades with Hillshire Brands in progressive roles, eventually becoming a plant manager in 2013. In 2016, Mr. Williams returned to Arkansas and worked as a plant director for Shearer’s Snacks until 2022.
Active in his community, Mr. Williams serves as the president of the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biological and agricultural engineering from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from Thomas More University. Mr. Williams remains engaged in his field as a member of the Academy of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Williams has received several awards, including the 2023 Arkansas Tourism Award and induction into the Arkansas Academy of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
