HYTE, the brand known for its PC components, peripherals, and lifestyle products, which is a subsidiary brand of iBUYPOWER, has announced the release of a series of Powered by Nexus components along with a new Nexus Link interface. Among the product releases is the Keeb TKL keyboard also powered by Nexus.
The new Nexus Link interface used for the Powered by Nexus components is a remarkable single cable standard that reduces cable management clutter and allows two-way communication between the Nexus software and the hardware components. Nexus Link merges power, fan control, lighting control, and sensor data into one connection. Through Nexus, the company aims to expand the accessibility between the user and HYTE hardware, which enables previously unseen qRGB competences and control for other third-party peripherals, creating a unified lighting platform.
According to Rob Teller, Product Director of HYTE, their goal is to establish a seamless loop of empathy and response between the user and the technology. Nexus adjusts to the user’s state of mind, indicating their emotions using digital capabilities, while Keeb enables them to express those emotions through a tangible means. The Portal renders the user’s emotions into the physical world, which creates a state of mind expressed through the hardware; thus, HYTE closes the gap between feeling and function, giving the user an intelligent companion rather than just a tool.
Portal – To Another World
NP50 Nexus Portal enables users to move their PC into the world of Nexus through fan and lighting control, thermal and acoustic sensing, legacy PWM fan control, and field control of third-party components. The product has three Nexus Link Type-C channels, allowing the simple connection of HYTE’s Powered by Nexus components while route input and output cables through the shroud to aid cable management in its 2.5-inch bay size.
Link, Light – Limitless
PQ10 and PQ30 qRGB Light Strips provide a 24-bit color depth, which effortlessly integrates into the Nexus Link ecosystem through the Nexus Link Type-C connectors. PQ10 has a 33 cm, 20-pixel qRGB array, whereas PQ30 has a massive 1 m, 62-pixel qRGB array. Additionally, PQ Light Strips come with neodymium magnets on the bottom and adhesive mounting clips for non-metal surfaces and can easily attach to any system.
Keeb – It Fresh
HYTE’s Keeb TKL feature is a tenkeyless (TKL) layout with 93 remappable keys and Durock Creamy Yellow 55g factory lubricated linear switches, offering a smooth and satisfying feel with every key stroke. The keyboard was created for high-end typing experiences, with Durock V2 gold-plated stabilizers and a polycarbonate body diffusing 155-pixel qRGB array across the surface, further illuminated through the shine-through PBT keycaps. A customizable dual rotary wheel and quick access and control with dedicated media keys featuring low-profile blue clicky switches are located at the top of Keeb, while Keeb uses a USB Type-C to Type-C cable for universal connectivity to join systems.
HYTE’s Powered by Nexus components, including NP50 Nexus Portal, PQ10 and PQ30 Light Strips, and Keeb TKL will be available for display in the HYTE/iBUYPOWER suite during Computex 2023.
Availability
Nexus is readily available for download from HYTE.com.
NP50 Nexus Portal is anticipated to be available worldwide in September 2023, starting at an MSRP of $59.99 USD.
PQ10 and PQ30 should be available globally by September 2023. PQ10 will be available in a three-pack at a starting MSRP of $29.99 USD, while PQ30 will be available in a two-pack starting at $29.99 USD MSRP.
Keeb TKL is estimated to be available globally in Q4 2023 at an MSRP starting at $179.99 USD.
