With more than 20 years of experience in education, Ms. Reynolds is currently the Vice Principal of Student Services at Santa Clara High School. She oversees legal matters related to Special Education, 504s, and Health Services, and teaches at-risk children in-person. In addition, she is a liaison for California Youth Outreach, and collaborates with Santa Clara Police Department to offer mental health checks. Ms. Reynolds has also worked as an Assistant Principal at Henry M. Gunn High School, in the Palo Alto Unified School District, and served as a Vice Principal and Director of Drexel Special Projects for the Diocese of San Jose.
At the start of her career, Ms. Reynolds worked as an Instructional Coach and an English and AVID teacher with East Side Union High School District and Fremont Union High School District, gaining valuable experience. Alongside her work, she participates in community service through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and serves her church. She keeps herself up-to-date with latest trends and regulations in education by aligning with the Association of California School Administrators and the National Education Association.
Ms. Reynolds has an impressive educational background, earning a Master of Education in Education Administration from Santa Clara University, a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Teaching from National University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Chico. Furthermore, she holds an Administrative Credential in Education Administration and Single Subject Teaching Credential in English. In recognition of her remarkable career, Ms. Reynolds has been featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, was nominated for Teacher of the Year at Fremont Union High School District, received recognition from the Filipino Youth Organization, and won the USA Martial Arts Service Award.
Ms. Reynolds is most proud of the connections she has made with her students. She believes that her passion for helping students in identifying their strengths and perseverance has contributed to her success. Her goal in the coming years is to serve as a Principal and Learning and Development Trainer to enhance her skills.
