She worked with RPS as an associate consultant and principal consultant in Frisco, Texas, from 2008-2020, where she was part of a team of professionals who developed HSE cases for offshore drilling companies to provide global deepwater drilling services, ensuring effective HSE risk management. Ms. Jefferson also has experience performing qualitative workplace health and safety risk assessments as part of due diligence for significant multi-site business acquisitions. Furthermore, she served as the director of safety and interim claims manager for Providence Property & Casualty Group in Frisco, Texas, from 2005-2008, and was a principal engineer affiliated with Outcome Engineering LLC in Frisco, Texas, from 2003-2005.
Ms. Jefferson actively gets involved in her local community, engaging with worthy causes like the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Scottish Rite for Children. She is also a village representative of the Frisco Starwood Homeowners Association.
Ms. Jefferson studied at Texas A&M University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. She remains a member of Chi Epsilon, National Civil Engineering Honor Society, and Zeta Tau Alpha. Despite initial difficulties, Ms. Jefferson persevered to obtain her engineering degree with honors while raising a child, recovering from a pituitary tumor, and travelling seven hours for school each week. Her story demonstrates a passion to make a difference and a drive to keep going under insurmountable circumstances, which continues to inspire her with the saying, “Press On” from Philippians 3:13-14, “…I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Ms. Jefferson has obtained certifications as a certified risk management professional, certified ISO 14001:2015 systems auditor, and certified ISO 45001:2018 systems auditor.
