Sherry Jane Stock’s expertise in the field of brain injury and entrepreneurship has earned her recognition with Marquis Who’s Who. As co-owner of Brain Logistics LLC since 2018, Ms. Stock offers training and educational services to healthcare professionals on brain injuries and comas. Additionally, Ms. Stock serves as the executive director of the Brain Injury Alliance of Oregon, which for more than 20 years, has served as the only statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to brain injury prevention, resource facilitation, education, advocacy, peer mentoring, and support groups.
Ms. Stock brings her expertise to both public and private organizations, serving as a trainer and presenter, while also being part of interstate committees and state commissions. Furthermore, since 2005, Ms. Stock has been traveling abroad to assist Americans who incurred brain injuries while overseas and bring them back home for proper placement.
Ms. Stock is also an advocate for social causes, using her experience in fighting her son’s injuries related to a drunk driving accident to rally for legislative change. In collaboration with other fathers whose sons incurred injuries while playing football, Ms. Stock has successfully led a bill to make annual concussion training mandatory for coaches in all 50 U.S. states. Additionally, she holds positions in various charitable organizations, gives her time for disabled children, and disabled military members.
To support her career endeavors, Ms. Stock earned her Bachelor of Arts in medical sociology, epidemiology, and health science from California State University in 1993. Subsequently, she received her Master of Arts, an All But Dissertation/Doctor of Philosophy in medical sociology and systems science, and a Master of Arts in international gerontology from Portland State University in 1995 and 1996, respectively. Ms. Stock became a certified brain injury specialist trainer through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists in 2008.
The public recognition of her contributions includes the Outstanding Advocacy Award in 2010 from the Oregon State Rehabilitation Council, Pioneer Award in 2013, and the Appreciation Award in 2019 for dedication and commitment to the Oregon Disabilities Commission and the State of Oregon.
