McLeod Software’s annual User Conference in Phoenix, AZ, is currently taking place with over 1,000 customers in attendance. The event includes several new product announcements from the company.
The PowerBroker//web, an all-in-one web page for McLeod users, features re-engineered workflows, an interactive dashboard, and a streamlined user experience. It provides tools for creating and updating orders, managing movements, finding load coverage, sending offers to carriers, and posting to load boards.
The latest version (23.1) of McLeod’s App for Drivers, called Driver Sidekick, is included in LoadMaster. It offers a new design with an information-rich home-screen dashboard, reducing the number of touches or taps for drivers to access commonly used features. Drivers can easily view assignment details, settlement amounts, and quickly perform tasks such as document scanning, messaging, mileage, and home time requests.
McLeod Software is introducing LoadMaster LoadMatch, a new feature that helps planners find the best load for each driver based on real-time analysis of the fleet and drivers’ current positions, status, and available hours of service. By considering driver-specific requirements and company preferences, the tool presents the top 5 eligible loads for each driver based on critical parameters such as hours of service, empty distance to the next load, lane preferences, and minimum revenue per order goals.
McLeod Software is also introducing MPact PRO Predictor, a built-in feature of their lane and rate analysis tool. This new feature allows customers to forecast freight rates up to 14 days in advance using historical data from McLeod’s Market Insight. The predictions factor in line haul rate, carrier type, trailer type, and commodity type. The forecast confidence level can be adjusted to match the business’s risk preferences.
The company is announcing the MPact API, which provides McLeod customers who contribute anonymous rate data to Market Insight with programmable access to market lane intelligence and analytics. Customers can import MPact data into internal reporting, dashboards, and other applications for market comparison purposes.
Cloud IQ Version 2024 is being unveiled as the advanced business intelligence, analysis, and reporting solution for LoadMaster and PowerBroker. The latest version offers over 20 updated data reporting templates, covering topics such as fuel analysis, lane analysis, customer scorecard, driver scorecard, and revenue reporting.
McLeod Software continues to expand its business process automation solutions with two new Logix Solutions for Cargo Insurance and Shipper Portal Automation. The Logix Solution for Cargo Insurance simplifies the process of buying supplemental cargo insurance and comparing quotes. The Logix Solutions Shipper Portal Automation automates the manual process of uploading required trip documents to various shipper TMS solutions.
Starting this month, McLeod Software is offering new customers the option of subscription-based pricing for all their core products. This allows customers to use McLeod’s systems, cloud hosting services, and subscription support services without the upfront capital cost or financed cost of the software license.
Over 1/3 of all McLeod customers have chosen to have their systems hosted by McLeod’s cloud systems offering. The company is introducing an enhanced version of the hosted service, which includes additional services and capabilities such as Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Advanced Database Failover.
