Remarkable is delighted to induct these companies into its 2023 cohort. All of these firms are addressing major challenges for people with disabilities, and we believe Remarkable can help ensure that these innovations are accessible quickly and affordably.
NEW YORK (PRWEB)
May 25, 2023
Remarkable has announced a group of innovative disability tech startups for its 2023 accelerator program. The thirteen firms, from Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US, are revolutionizing disability tech, from brain-computer interface (BCI) technology in everyday life to extended reality (XR) navigation solutions.
The accelerator program is possible due to Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation (CPARF). Recently, Remarkable expanded its program to run in both the United States and Australia, which will enable the group to offer better support for startups from around the world.
“Despite global headwinds in venture capital more generally, Disability Tech continues to show strong growth as a sector, with a number of investment funds specifically focused on investing in this space. We are incredibly excited to see the 13 companies in this year’s global cohort. They represent the best emerging technologies in this exciting growth field,” said Pete Horsley, Founder of Remarkable.
The demand for Remarkable’s global presence is representative of the $13 trillion disability market and increased popularity of the global disabled and elderly assistive tech market, which is predicted to be worth $32 billion by 2026.
Remarkable US Director Molly Levitt said, “We could not be more excited to welcome these companies into our 2023 cohort. All of them are solving some major challenges for people with disabilities, and we believe that Remarkable can help ensure that people with disabilities are able to get access to these innovations quickly and affordably.”

The 16-week accelerator program provides seed funding and gives startups the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to become viable socially impactful businesses. They hone their work with coaches through masterclasses, sprints and deep dives. The program culminates in pitches to over 500 international investors, industry connections, and partners at Demo Day on August 4, 2023.
Note: Startups in the US-based program receive $55,000 worth of funding, which is made possible by CPARF, the James and Pamela Griffith Family Foundation, and Aristocrat. Startups in the Aus-based program receive $75,000 worth of seed funding, made possible by CPA, icare, Vivcourt, and Telstra Foundation.
