A third-degree black belt with almost thirty years of experience in martial arts, Mr. Agbay is the owner of MJA Martial Arts, Inc. He has been teaching martial arts to children, teens, and adults since 1994, specializing in Kenpo Karate and Wing Chun Kung Fu. His goal is to enhance the growth and personal development of students of all ages and levels. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the business and supervising instructors, Mr. Agbay received the Best Teacher of the Year award from the Autism Resource Center in New England in 2016, becoming the first non-allied health professional to receive this honor.
Alongside his martial arts career, Mr. Agbay has worked with the Worcester Autism Resource Center of New England and served as the martial arts director of Gigueres. He also developed the PSA Personal Safety Academy/Consultant and Self-Defense courses. These courses aim to educate and train executives and employees to be safe in their work environments. Mr. Agbay is also a professional drummer and has been the instructor and owner of a music production company.
In the future, Mr. Agbay plans to further expand his Wing Chun Kung Fu training, specifically catering to professionals such as executives and company owners who want to enhance their martial arts skills. He also intends to share his experiences and teachings through books, manuals, seminars, and workshops on a national and international level. His ultimate focus is to help his students embark on a journey of self-discovery through martial arts, rather than solely focusing on becoming skilled fighters.
