Jimmy Donaldson, famously known as MrBeast, was caught up in an outrageous prank where he was handcuffed by the police as part of a “revenge” plot organized by fellow YouTuber Airrack, also known as Eric David Decker.
What Happened: YouTube’s most followed man found himself in handcuffs, but it was all part of an elaborate prank. It all began with a revenge plot concocted by YouTuber Airrack in response to a prank MrBeast had played on him over a year ago. MrBeast asked one of Decker’s producers to fake-resign and join his crew, which left Airrack completely devastated.
To get back at MrBeast, Airrack came up with a plan to fool Donaldson into believing he was being arrested. The YouTuber enlisted the help of the New York Police Department (NYPD), but the plan failed, so he decided to execute the prank in MrBeast’s hometown of North Carolina.
In the video shared by Airrack, police officers pulled Donaldson over for having tinted windows on his car. When he got out of the car, they handcuffed him, claiming there was a warrant out for his arrest. MrBeast appeared amused by the spectacle and kept smiling, but his demeanor changed, and things got serious when the officers asked about any recent threats he might have received. They then escorted him to a holding cell, where he was held for an extended period without food or water. Eventually, they allowed him to make one phone call, which is when the prank was revealed.
Donaldson later admitted that he thought the arrest was real at one point due to the extensive resources invested in the prank. The video has garnered over 4.3 million views at the time of writing.
