Former President Barack Obama recently commended the enactment of several laws in Minnesota, calling them a “giant leap forward.”
After a busy session by the Democrat-controlled Legislature, Obama showcased the new Minnesota laws on Twitter, stating that they are a “reminder that elections have consequences.”
Democrats in Minnesota successfully accomplished all 30 major items on their ambitious agenda before the session concluded on Monday. The priorities included legalizing recreational marijuana, guaranteeing reproductive freedom, implementing universal background checks for firearm purchases, and other gun safety measures.
Minnesota’s Governor, Tim Walz, also referred to it as a “historic” legislative session that will have a generational impact on the state.
