Dr. Robert F. Dooley had the desire to become an educator at a young age. His sixth-grade teacher inspired him to pursue a career in education. He obtained a BA in secondary education and an MA in secondary education from Arizona State University before starting his professional career. He joined Glendale Elementary School District in 1976 and served as a school principal until 2002. Since then, he has excelled as the superintendent of the Ajo Unified School District in Arizona. He has also served as an assistant principal and English teacher at Phoenix Public Schools, an adjunct professor in educational leadership at Northern Arizona University, and the director of finance at the Ajo Unified School District.
