With years of experience in the engineering industry, Mr. Jenssen currently holds the position of vice president of program development at POWER Engineers. In his role, he liaises with executives and ensures his program teams have enough staff and budget to manage major programs. Before his current position, he had a successful business career where he positioned an international company for success in the T&D business in the US. He also worked as the vice president of marketing and engineering for EPS and the vice president and project manager of Burns and McDonell Engineering. Mr. Jenssen started his career by gaining valuable construction expertise as a project manager and inspector for the Department of Transportation.
Aside from his work, Mr. Jenssen has been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and the local humane society as his way of contributing to the community. He also donates to hospices, local animal shelters, and various other charitable organizations. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from South Dakota State University in 1985. Even though he has plenty of achievements in his career, Mr. Jenssen feels most proud of helping build Burns and McDonell Engineering to what it is today.
Mr. Jenssen attributes his success to his love for what he does and the many mentors he had along the way. For his final chapter in his engineering career, Mr. Jenssen remains passionate about building growth, mutual success, and mentor future leaders in his current role as vice president of program development for POWER Engineers. His aim is to continue experiencing growth and success in the next five years.
