Sandra A. Chamberlain started working at Monroe Community College in 1983, where she tutored English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students. She later became a tutor at the downtown campus in Damon City, teaching subjects such as English, psychology, sociology, French, history, geography, geology, and biology for two years.
