SNS Network, a leading provider of ICT solutions, is partnering with Persatuan Kebajikan 88 Kapten Pulau Pinang (88 Captains) for the 5G Digital Library program, which will equip schools in Penang with wireless 5G broadband connectivity.
Under this collaboration, SNS will sponsor 264 units of JOI Classmate 10 laptops worth RM342,936 to 88 selected schools in Penang. These laptops will help students to easily access their school’s digital library anytime and anywhere through the uninterrupted high-speed 5G broadband. Additionally, each school will receive a Content Access Server, which can store thousands of e-books, a 5G broadband modem, and three laptops.
The pilot project is aimed at improving broadband speeds in the Penang education system to create a thriving talent ecosystem. SNS is fully committed to supporting the efforts of 88 Captains to expand the program and make it available to all schools in the state. SNS believes that Digital Libraries are important platforms for hosting digital content, encouraging collaboration among teachers and students through an Intel-based Content Access Server.
