VICKSBURG, MS, May 23, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Tyrone C. Pinkins, JD, LLM, has been included in the Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes as an exceptional achiever and contributor to society. Mr. Pinkins is a veteran, lawyer, author, and social justice advocate, known for his community service projects and leadership of The Pyramid Project non-profit organization.
Mr. Pinkins joined the military in 1996 as a Signal Support Systems Specialist and served in various roles, culminating with his appointment as a Presidential Communications Aide for the White House Communications Agency in 2013. He received several awards, including Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Awards, and a Bronze Star Medal.
After retiring from the army in 2017, Mr. Pinkins obtained his J.D. and LL.M. in National Security Law at Georgetown University. Continuing his commitment to social justice, he joined the Mississippi Center for Justice as a fellow and served the underprivileged communities of Mississippi Delta.
Mr. Pinkins’ book “23 Miles and Running: My American Journey from Chopping Cotton in the Mississippi Delta to Sleeping in the White House” was published by New Degree Press in 2020.
Mr. Pinkins is not only a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the Mississippi Federation of Democratic Women, but also a candidate for United States Senate, running on a platform focused on investing in good-paying jobs, affordable healthcare, and high-quality education.
